It’s a beautiful day when the Ndlovu Youth Choir hit the stage.
On Tuesday, the ensemble from South Africa closed out the second night of the America’s Got Talent quarterfinals with another uplifting performance.
Dressed in pink, the choir filled the room with energy and cheers with their cover of U2’s “Beautiful Day”. And as they reached the climax, streamers poured from the ceiling to give the performance a spectacular, party vibe.
Hailing from Limpopo and led by artistic director Ralf Schmitt, the group provides a creative outlet for young talent from challenging backgrounds. Now celebrating their 10th anniversary, the choir enjoyed international attention with a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You,” which was uploaded to YouTube in 2018 and has clocked up millions of hits.
We’ll find out tomorrow if America votes them through to the semis.
