Ahead of the CD release of his latest hit song, “Uma to Shika,” on Sept. 11, J-pop artist Kenshi Yonezu shared a teaser showcasing some performances from this year’s domestic tour, called Sekitsui ga Opal ni Naru Koro (“When (One’s) Spine Turns Into Opal”).
The “Lemon” singer-songwriter will kick off a 10-stop, 20-concert headlining tour named HYPE, starting in February 2020.
The teaser was displayed on 132 digital signs in major train stations located in the cities he’ll hit during this upcoming tour, literally building up hype for the trek.
Yonezu can be seen performing some of his recent hits in the clip, including “Lemon” and “Flamingo,” plus some fan favorites, such as “Undercover” and “amen,” which he sang flanked by a team of marching drummers and dancers.
The hitmaker’s latest single, “Uma to Shika,” bowed at No. 2 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 dated Aug. 26. Watch the teaser below:
